The Strohman Bed & Breakfast

This past weekend we were blessed with a couple new guests at the Strohman Bed & Breakfast!! Matthew's parents arrived Friday morning here in Colorado and just left on Monday afternoon (in time to make it home for the Ohio snowstorms)- it was a wonderful visit for us all!! I guess it was so nice for his parents that his mother named it the bed and breakfast :) We had nice home cooked meals for every meal except dinner the first night and breakfast the last morning...all of which were completely taken care of by the B&B owners and were nice and yummy of course, hehe! The first day they were here we went to the motorpool and checked out a tank just like Matthew's, a bradley, and a wrecked humvee. Then later that evening we tried going to the Golden Bee (a piano bar/ restaurant at the Broadmoor Hotel) but it was closed for routine maintenance so instead we went to the Melting Pot for what ended up being quite an interesting experience. Saturday we went to Garden of the Gods and did a little other sightseeing around the area, we had dinner here, and played wii bowling and carnival games until bed time. Sunday we kind of just hung out around the house-- Matthew and Kirk worked on the jeep and Jennifer and I worked on staining our new dining room chairs. Then we went over to the company commander's house to watch some of the superbowl with some friends and finished it up here at our house while working more on the chairs (which are now done and look wonderful)!! Then Monday morning came and it was time to get ready to head to the airport...because unfortunately all vacations have to come to an end sometime. And the Strohman Bed & Breakfast is yet again busy preparing for its next guest(s) scheduled to arrive...tomorrow!!
